I would get Red dead redemption. I found that game more addictive than gta and it gets never boring unless you suck at it. Just wait till world cup ends to get the game its only rent worthy game anyways.

@ Zilla and Infamous: That's what I'm leaing towards. The controller itself is worth $50 + 2 games I know are great and will play. That's what I'm gonna get most likely, unless I find something better at Gamestop.

@ Moe: That's what I always hear about RDR, but I still don't think I'll like it. And I'm gonna wait til the Cup is over and rent/buy the WC game.

ac(1) is boring as fuck, i'd just read its story online or something. on the othar hand ac2 is dope, really dope and saboteur sucks ass.

so ac2 plus read the story of ac1 online or ask a friend to tell you

So I just got back from Gamestop. I ended up getting GOW Collection used by itself for $26.99 and NBA Street Homecourt for $12.99, and now I have like $2.50 left on a giftcard lol. I didn't really need the controller and I was hoping there was an NBA Street game for PS3 cause I didn't know there was one, so I'm glad I found it.

Keep this thread going like sjem did we can use it for other systems/games too.

Edit: Infamous, can you take "PS3" out of the thread title, so everyone can use this if they want opinions on what game/system to buy?

to be honest, i love red dead and all, but after i beat it its been collecting dust while i play conviction over and over, it just lacked in reply value and the multiplayer was a pain in the ass unless you had friends to play with (all of mine play COD)

yep, same thing with me, and I did the same with GTA 4, except I picked GTA 4 back up with the 2 dlc add-ons, and then once I beat those, put it back down again.

Right now i'm really focused on Assassin's Creed II and Borderlands, and a little bit of Mod nation racers on PS3.

at least gta had more of a functional deathmatch and race modes instead of dumping you into an open world.

Bump, anyone have an answer for Cadiz? (I only have PS3 so I can't help with 360 games)

Also, should I pick up a PSP again? I got the 1st one when it launched and it was great, my friends would play each other in GTA during homeroom and lunch back in highschool. But after a year or so I ended up selling it to a friend because I got bored with it.

Lately for some reason though I kinda want a PSP again. I'd like to be able to play FIFA, GTA, etc. on the go and I also wanna try GOW Chains of Olympus. Plus my best friend still has his PSP 1001 so we could play each other in GTA.

If I could get a good condition PSP 1001 with all of this:
- Original Wall AC Charger
- Three Pro Duo Memory Sticks: 32MB, 512MB and 2GB
- 4 games: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Infected, Hot Shots Golf Open Tee and Lumines

for about $100, should I get it? I feel like it'd be a good pickup even if I end up using it on and off like I did with my first PSP, only this time I won't sell it.

^ RDR is pretty good. you have to be into westerns to really enjoy it though.

also i don't understand what your point is. transformers WFC is multiplayer too.

Both are great games. I like FIFA a lot more, but because I'm a soccer fan and don't really like baseball. But The Show is the best baseball game available and it's fun; I've played 09 at my friend's house a couple times and it's fun even if you aren't a huge baseball fan. But FIFA is also a ton of fun once you figure it out, especially if you play with a bunch of friends.

I'd go with FIFA, but you can't lose either way.

MLB 10 The show or Fifa ?

mlb the show is the best sports game ever created. i fucking HATE baseball but i love this game and it should be owned by everyone that owns a ps3. but fifa is pretty damn good too, i play them both a lot so its tough to decide. if you like baseball more get the show but if you like soccer more then get fifa, either the world cup or just 2010.

lol im actually not that into baseball or soccer. I'm a NBA guy but i need a sports game to hold me off till NBA 2k11 comes out. Downloaded both the Fifa demo and MLB 10 The Show demo.. both are fun as hell which is why i'm torn between which to buy.
