Its just updated like the 3g to the 3gS.. Supposedly better screen resolution, alittle bit better camera, glitches fixed... Its not a next generation iphone thats will be next summer...

Its just updated like the 3g to the 3gS.. Supposedly better screen resolution, alittle bit better camera, glitches fixed... Its not a next generation iphone thats will be next summer...

when the rumors came out about this, i never understood how. cause isnt the retina display like the max resolution you can have? certainly sounded that way when they released it in their notes. but they said something like the retina display is the highest possible display human eyes can recognize

^ BGR reported it... Also asked my boy at apple, he said the samething that it will be called the 4S and there is no new generation iphone.. Just like the new ipad isnt a new generation ipad its just an updated version so they are calling it iPad 2 plus..

Apple is also releasing a prepaid 3gS as well..

^ Yeah there which was posted over at macrumors... So i asked my boy about it and said it was going to be called a 4S not a 5.. So im figuring these reports are true but either way its not going to be anything new until next year.. Still will get a 4s anyway though haha

i need some help jailbreaking an iphone 4.

i need to jailbreak then unlock it to run on tmobiles network, its firmware 4.2.1. anyone out here that has done this? how did you go about it?

ive tried greenpois0n, and limerain, neither worked for me. i followed the instructions to the tee, but for some reason the end result is not the same. does it matter if the iphone has a working simcard in it or not? i did the cutting mod on a tmo sim card, and it fits pretty good, but the simcard has no data on it --i want to make sure i can use the phone before i call tmo for a sim swap--

i saw that rensn0w has a jailbreak but all i could find were tethered versions -- can someone carify what a tethered jailbreak means exactly?-- so i didnt go that route yet.

so yeah, how did you guys do it?

^^ yeh i tried jailbreakme.com as well, but when i went on it on the iphone it did not show the green "install". when i visited the site all i could do is read the info and all that other stuff that no one cares about. its wierd too because i had just used jailbreakme.com to jailbreak a current gen ipod touch the other day with no problems. so yeah, still looking for a solution.
