^ Exactly! And also no the 4s isnt going to be 4g, only difference like i posted a few posts back its going to be the same as the 4 except the camera has some tweaks, its going to run on a the A5 dual cire processor like that ipad 2..Everything else is going to be the same.. Its the same thing as when the 3g came out then the next year the 3gS came out..

Apple apparently is looking into having curved glass for the iPhone 5. The article says they purchased 300 glass cutting machines, buts that about it. via: GEEK

Well looks like apple will be putting a new iPad in the fall.. First it was just going be like the iphone 4s just an updated version of the previous ipad 2 but now I guess apple has decided to make the iPad thinner, better resolution, and update a few things.. Will release September through October!

No, you'll be fine. The only thing that really can brick an iOS phone (very rarely) is unlocking. Which you're not doing.

Not unless you're running 4.0 .... or 4.0.1

I'm not sure about the exact firmware models but it has to be a reeeeally early on 4.0 release. As for iOS3, not sure.

pickin up my iphone 4 from verizon tomorrow, does anyone have some recommendations on some clean, unique cases...i'm interested in getting a carbon fiber case but not an over the top expensive one , I'm open to any idea

now data is capped though. at&t did this when the iphone 4 first came out, but people that already had an unlimited plan didn't have to pay an additional $30/month on top of what they were already paying to keep it, right? sounds like verizon is sticking it to their customers to me.

thought i might query this here. my phone is due for an upgrade tomorrow on Verizon. I know they switched the data plans from unlimited to crap. My question is if I go through with signing a new 2 yr contract and I upgrade to the IPhone 4, am I going to lose my old unlimited and get this new crappy capped data plan? cause I already did the math, if I have to it is cheaper to buy the entire phone and not renew my contract.

^ nah, when i got mine a week and a half ago, the guy told me that when that takes effect, existing verizon customers will be grandfathered in and will remain with their existing unlimited data plan. just visit a verizon dealer and ask them. from what he told me, it only applies to new verizon cutomers, or new lines opened on existing accounts.

^ Yeah At&t was the same way until the 4 came out.. But if u were already with at&t u can keep your plan and verizon is doing the same thing as well..

Also Apple has yet to figure out if they want to call this "new" iPhone the iPhone 5 or call it the iPhone 4gS.. Since it wont be a new hardware device, they dont want to confuse people by calling it 5 so most likely they will do what they did with the 3g and add the S...
