The bad thing for At&t customers who buy will no longer have unlimited Data plan... At&t has announced that the data plan has changed for this and you will have to pay by MB's and GB's...

This is good for me, I didn't need unlimited data and 30$ a month is bonkers, I'll probably go with the 200MB plan.

200MB on 4G? You're nuts. I have trouble keeping it under a GB with 3G, and I use my phone a lot in areas with wifi. I can just imagine how much data I'd use at 4g speeds.

It's not 4G. It's 4G as in fourth generation.

Existing iPhone users can keep unlimited data for $30 even if upgrading but have the $15 and $25 data plans as an option.

The speed has nothing to do with the plans.

* DataPlus. Provides 200 megabytes (MB) of data

Yeah I hope you guys know 4G refers to the 4th Generation iPhone and not a 4G Network.

4G Neteorks have only been deployed by Sprint and isn't even available everywhere. AT&T won't start pushing 4G until next year.

The next iPhone will probably be called the iPhone HD because of the high-res screen and recording.

Wait...I'm lost...so what if I upgrade, can I still keep my data plan? I know I go way over the 200mb limit.

I'm confused as to how this is the fourth iPhone.

iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS
Mystery third iteration
iPhone 4G

Huh?

if you have unlimited now then your all good even if you upgrade your phone. the new price points will only apply to new customers or existing customers getting a data plan for the first time. and im sure that verizon will be following with similar tiered data pricing later this year and will get rid of their unlimited data plans

I thought they were getting rid of the Unlimited option for new customers or for existing ones without a data plan?

I'd rather play street fighter with a controller than touch screen

They are getting rid of it... But if u are upgrading to the new phone i believe u can keep the same plan u already have with unlimited data.. I guess At&t feels that the unlimited data plan doesnt make them enough money, so they are now chrging for the data use..

Been waiting for next week for a while now. I hope it won't be a disappointment like the iPad announcement rofl. I need to decide on either the next iPhone or something else (like the Nexus One) to replace my almost-dead phone.

And I'm no fucking groupie...I've had an iPhone ever since it came out, but I've become fed up with it and tomorrow I'm going to get an Evo 4g.

The speed has nothing to do with the plans.

Durr. I would however be inclined to surf more/capable to surf more with the speed upgrade, understand?

wtf, buying any smartphone, with almost any carrier, ESPECIALLY AT&T, requires you to get a data plan.
