they can't get away with the antenna issue now that everyone's crying all over the internet. either they (hopefully) resolve this with an actual software fix, give away free bumpers, or do a recall and redesign the antenna.
that "you're holding it wrong" thing already gave them a bad enough reputation, i doubt they will keep doing nothing and blaming the user when it's so obviously a design flaw.

Have you tried purposely holding your finger on the lower left seam? When I do that, depending on my area, I notice a gradual loss of a few bars. At my desk I can make it go from 5 to 2 bars in a minute. However, this doesn't affect me when I'm in a call because of the way I hold my phone.

software update coming early this week to try and relieve the reception problems. Something about the reverberation of the frequency of antenna's signal through that spot so it isn't all handled right there? We'll see if it works.
