I'm not a hardcore gamer... mostly will play on the trip to work/school. So I'm down just because I know starfox and zelda are coming (maybe not new, but at least I know they were fun on the N64).

the three hour battery life is making me have second thoughts about buying it doe. it sucks because that shit looks fucking amazing. 3d first party nintendo games will be fire.

if you got it on full brightness, full volume, always wifi on and 3D on, then yeah, 3-5 hours

as a test, i turned wifi off and 3D off, and i've gotten around 8 hours of intermittent play - around the same as a psp?

Thats how it is with any electronic device; you set it on the brightest/loudest setting and use wifi and the battery will die off fast. I know when i first got my DS I had it on the brightest setting and it would consume fast.


For now I will be buying the 3DS and ignore the psp2 because Nintendo has so much more to offer. I think Sony is failing for not offering 3D on the psp2.

Besides 3D you're getting proven fun games (zelda,mario, etc) and new stuff. I don't think I could play for more than a couple hours on a handheld, so the DS games are right for me.

Reasons why I think Sony is failing will be too long to mention. But its just like the PS3; the psp2 will be too expensive, release much later, and will have more features than you really need. I'm also not a fan of motion sensors in the back; since I'm trying to figure out how a protective case will not interfere with it. And getting back to 3D, if Nintendo does provide an awesome experience (which results in sales); then any device wihtout 3D will look old. Heck I can even picture the next ipad(3) to have it as well.

more features than you need is a bad thing? $250 too much? i think theyre aight. im looking for a lot of social features. i wanna be able to text, web browse, DLC, facebook/twitter/aim, youtube, etc. i think ill be happy with it.


hmmm... thats not a gaming device anymore... that would make Sony compete with an iphone... and and the ngp having all those features and not having a phone seems confused

its all of that + the best handheld gaming device. If they get skype + 3G then theres no need to even have a cell phone.

might as well go buy an N-gage while ur at it |0


no need for all that stuff on a handheld video game device other then web browsing at most, its for video games not all that extra shit
