i read an article in a magazine that was about the anti piracy lengths nintendo has gone to protect the 3ds from being hacked....they went as far as saying it will be 'unhackable'....

which means it'll probs take a while....

So this thing's gonna cost about 350GBP, about $550USD... looks cool, but not cool enough for that $$$$.

And fuck Street Fighter 4 on this. Not only is the d-pad already terrible (probably), but the placing too.

that's funny because a price hasn't been announced. i will guarantee that it will not be $550. Nintendo isn't Sony.
It's supposedly been leaked (plenty of Jan 2011 blog posts pushing this number around), but I guess you can't rely on the internet until it's official.

3DS Price, Release Date Announced
Nintendo confirms details for North America.


Nintendo said today it will launch the 3DS in North America on March 27, 2011 for $249.99.

The announcement came during the company's New York City press event. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime said that between the launch of the 3DS and E3 in June, more than 30 first and third party 3DS games will be released.

Nintendo did not provide a list of games that will be available on launch day.

Nintendo has listed the titles that will be available in North America for the 3DS' launch. Touting the biggest third-party launch lineup in Nintendo's history, there appears to be something for everybody. The first three titles are first party, the rest is all up to the outside publishers:

lol its game line up is great especially mega man legends 3 and dead or alive but i have not owned a nintendo handheld since gameboy advance, and price is a bit high too but you never know

I think $250 is okay... Its a 3D handheld.... when the Wii came out everyone thought it needed more advanced features, so now when Nintendo does release next gen features everyone isn't on board because of the price. Next gen = expensive
