This might be the push I've needed to get on that plus tip.

LMAO swag... gotta love having that PSN+. The beta was an incentive for me to buy Killzone 3 but i ain't even mad about it cause the game is dope. Nice to know i'll be on it a week earlier than everyone else though...

if its anything like the other socoms its gonna be a lot different then most other FPS games. for some reason playing in 3rd person just makes them a whole lot different since you can see around corners and shit.


wonder if you can still jump up and down on walls while strafing to move faster lolllll

Because it's 3rd person and while in Classic mode, you only get 1 life per round, you can't just go around running and gunning. Socom requires patience, skill and strategy (team work) to be effective. Obviously there will be a bunch of people who do this, but they are usually the ones who aren't very good. Also, the lack of perks and gay shit keeps the playing field level and reliant on teamwork and skill. It's the only game I can play for hours without getting frustrated at the bs that goes on in most other shooters (specifically FPS). Except Zipper did well with MAG, it's very balanced. Although there is definately things that will frustrate you. For example, people who simply wait around corners peaking and jumping out to spray. But it's w.e, you can adapt to that.


I'm not a huge fan of the lock to cover, dual primaries and some of the other additions/changes. But If it's what keeps Socom alive and successful (sales #), I can live with it as long as they keep the classic style available.

Yeah i tried it yesterday and i don't know how i feel about it. I mean it will probably change as updates come for the finished product but i don't know how i feel. It was good but just different in a way kind of felt like MAG in 3rd person. I think its going to be hard for them to top S2 though, it was the benchmark for the series...

only thing i hope for in the full version is the ability to make your own character instead of picking premades

The campaign is fucking dope... i didn't think i would like the game because i wasn't impressed with the beta really but the game has really grown on me. I play the campaign more than i do online... but that's mainly because most of my old clan members are old ass dudes who want to practice like a motherfucker on this and i don't wanna do that...

Its pretty damn good compared to S2... it's what Socom should have been like after S2 but ehh what can you do. Its probably the first one in the series that doesn't desperately need patching or have servers crashing. Classic mode is nice and so is the co op modes shit has a lot of replay value...

the campaign is hard as shit on hard lol i get killed with like 3 bullets. got to the level where you play as the azn and take down the tanker/ship then tried to play online and kept getting errors when logging in to PSN

love the game cool too bad i deleted my damn single player save or else i would finish the campaign now i'm too lazy to backtrack to the level i was on

it takes a LONG ASS TIME to level up guns online. played a bunch of games with the m4a1 and only unlocked MOD 1 which is nothing lmao. but i guess thats a good thing since it makes you really have to work to unlock stuff.

small map medley is my favorite so far since the big maps have too much shit going on and people not doing what they're supposed to
