Just bought myself a new pair of IEM's for the gym & my iPod.

Decided to go with the Klipsch Image S4. I was in a debate between those or the Monster Turbines but Image S4's seem to have a pretty damn good reputation.

I like the look of those Marshalls anyone have any reviews?
Mar 05, 2011 @ 09:47
i'm looking for a great quality headphone with nice sounds and noise reduction.

my budget is around 200 bucks. i'm considering bose around ear or the quietcomfort.

since i'm not good with headphones and their brands. which one should i get?
Mar 05, 2011 @ 13:18
BrO BUY BEATS BRO
Mar 05, 2011 @ 21:47
Anyone know where to listen to the marshalls headphones in person?
Mar 06, 2011 @ 09:36
the marshall HEADPHONES (there are earphones as well) have clear high and mids while the lows are lacking. so good for rock, electronic and that ish. not for bassheads.
Mar 06, 2011 @ 15:59
I would like to know too, these sony headphones aren't cutting it since the cord is mad short.

ETA: Ordered sennheiser cx-300 ii since I'm on a tight budget, hopefully they'll last me for a while.

i just got the cx-300s recently aswell, pretty good for the price
Mar 06, 2011 @ 17:41
Worddd, I like them a lot. Hopefully they'll last longer than my old pair of headphones. blushing
Mar 08, 2011 @ 03:06
cx-300s were the IEM of choice back in the day. and they're still pretty good even with the slight down grade on the quality.

planning on getting one made, probably go through it around summer once i have more time to work after im done with my semester.

May 05, 2011 @ 13:56

UCSB.

May 05, 2011 @ 19:11
turtle beaches are good if your just a casual gamer

tritons if you're all hardcore gamer and shit lololol but they usually run 150+ if thats too much for your budget.

real talk, when it comes to gaming sets, COMFORT is what you're gunna be lookin for. not just sound quality and noise cancellation.
May 05, 2011 @ 19:42
id say 50 or 60 bucks but if theres by far and away a better one i wouldnt mind spending more. preferably not though.

when it comes to comfort and sound i really dont care how it looks like. been doing that with almost every set of cans I own. from grados, technics, panas, to sonys.

but i think ill settle for the xb500s. ive read a few reviews that after burn in, the ATH WS70s just didnt seem to live up to its hype.

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/474111/audio-technica-ath-ws70-newest-addition-to-the-family/45

but knowing headfi and how critical they are, i might still pick up a pair sometime later on, im not that super picky.

Ordered a pair of Creative Aurvana Lives for $60. Not bad for a re-branded Denon D1001 (same drivers and almost identical casing). Also ordered some MEElectronics IEMS for portable use. Just the $10 M2s, I usually lose or mess up my earphones since I pretty much use them for when I'm out, on campus, or working out.
May 15, 2011 @ 18:06
my trusty Sennheiser HD205's, 4 years and still going strong!
May 26, 2011 @ 04:21
Anyone have experience with AudioTechnica ATH-M50's or AKG K 240 MK II's?
May 28, 2011 @ 16:12

I returned my beats and got these, BEST DECISION EVER! I saved a $120 and these sound sooo much better. the difference is night and day! I will say however that these are very accurate headphones so you will hear everything which is not always a good thing lol. I can hear dre whispering shit to em throughout the marshal mathers LP lolol. Also being that these headphones are of studio quality and accuracy, dont expect any sort of bass boost or anything like that.

man I wish they made Koss Portapros how they used to. The sound is pretty much still there but they feel really cheap now. Also, why are PX100's so much now?

God damn, I am so glad HB has a thread like this!!

I can't wait till I save up enough money to get myself a pair of Westone 4's (maybe 3's?...). Ah, last summer... I probably went through about 20 different pairs of headphones just experimenting with them, Denon D5k's, to a pair of JH Audio JH-13's (Don't think I have heard anything so good as them). Unfortunately, and fortunately, I became obsessed with Raw denim, and pretty much bought and sold a ton of raw denim, and liquidated my headphone collection and ever since December I have been saying how badly I am in need of a new pair of headphones, but since the Samsung stock headphones have been satisfying my cravings I never actually saved up for a new pair.. Then I got a camera, and now I want to upgrade lenses as well, haha. But my samsung headphones are broke now smh, so I am putting saving up for a lens aside!

Anyways you guys will probably say tl;dr for that. Now, I have a question, I am wanting to get back into headphones, BUT I need help choosing the right one. I am more than positive I want to try out a pair of Westone 4's (have owned the 3's already), but may even take the 3's again. Either way does anyone know of good suggestions other than Westone that pack tight bass, clear highs and mids? I don't want 'bassy' headphones, but I want nice tight controlled bass. I just want to know what else has come out this year that is relatively newer and has that type of sound.
