Is it worth it? Explain.

What are good programs for jailbreaking and any apps, etc.
My friend uses blackra1n but his ipod touch keeps freezing and he needs to keep restoring the settings.

its easy to do and i think its worth it. if u have a touch and dont jailbreak tht shit ur mad stooopid. i got pages of free apps. use winpwn takes like 20 mins

your friend most likely has a 3rd generation ipod touch. blackra1n only tethers the jailbreak (when you turn it off or respring it, it undoes the jailbreak). it is totally worth it. you can have custom themes, free games/apps, etc. blackra1n is the best jailbreaking tool out right now. just download a 3.1.2 firmware for you iphone or ipod touch (make sure you get the right firmware) and then restore through itunes with your new firmware then you just run blackra1n on your computer. it only takes less than 5 minutes. pm me if you have anymore questions.

It's so worth it my dude. I just did it the other week and got tons of amazing apps and games. No point in getting an iPod touch without jail breaking imo.

YES def worth it. imo it makes it 10x better. I had an itouch a while ago and there were so many crazy apps, I cant imagine what there must be now

That's cause its a tethered jailbreak. There's no fix for it atm and blackra1n is RIP.

Which app store do you guys use? I use Rock and Cydia. You guys make it seem like there's an abundance of apps but there's like 100-180, and like less than a quarter are decent.

You know, "update" doesn't mean "make better." Which is what everyone assumes. In fact, the "update" was to patch blackrain, HAHA. Aside from that, the update was for fixing Japanese input (my friend had that problem on his 3GS,) and to fix some stupid battery meter problem, but mainly for patching jailbreaks.

Next time before any of you update, look into more info, otherwise you might just fuck yourself over from missing out.

that's probably why my phone crashed twice when i tried to JB it a while back
