Im not sure about the quality or anything, but I know that you need some kind of membership with flip to upload or use the camera I think.

kodak zi8 is so much better, upgradable memory(sd cards) shoots in 1080p,720p at 60progressive, has a 5x zoom and a 5mp camera, if u just want a video camera go for the flip but if u want the whole thing get the kodak, more durable and it's the same price
edit:flip only has 5hours, kodak u can go all the way to 20hours, about to quite bestbuy, worked in camera section four years play with cameras day in and day out, good luckcool

Um wtf are you talking about. The flip doesn't have any kind of subscription or anything. I've messed with the non-hd one and its pretty slick. takes about 1 second to boot up and has like 4 buttons. Real easy to use and with hd should be good
