my macbook pro has been running slowly lately,especially when I'm omn the net, I use firefox and everytime i go to websites or browse the net it sometimes lags and slows down a couple seconds. Any ways to fix this? perhaps deleting cookies etc? or should i quit using firefox

also is there any good ad blockers you guys recommend?

just get some cheap ram online (follow these specs: support.apple.com/kb/ht1651)

and install it yourself, with an online guide

just get some cheap ram online (follow these specs: support.apple.com/kb/ht1651)

and install it yourself, with an online guide


^ system prefs - > energy saver ? that's how it is on my macbook

skkipy : you can add ram with apple.. its cheaper if you have a student discount.. or you can get you or someone to install ram for you. iono too much about harddrive space since i couldnt add more in store but i would just get an external hard drive.. up to you though.

For those complaining about not being able to currently play online games such as cod/wow etc.. Just dual boot windows with bootcamp, installed windows 7 ultimate yesterday on my macbook pro. Best of both worlds cool

so i was on HB and then all of a sudden the screen dims and says
to press the power button in 5 different languages for no reason

so i had to turn it off but why tho?

So this is what happen
so i got mutiples Kernel panic to where the point where it fucken froze my
imac so i called apple care told them my situation and made an appointment like 2hrs ago
i took it to the genius bar and they couldn't figure out the problem so they gave me a brand new imac with my apple care and here I am again...

I don't think you can change that name, when you setup your mac for the first time I believe it tells you that you can't change that name afterwards. I clicked next/ok too fast when I was setting up my macbook and now the user name/directory is my mac account name, it's so stupid...
