I use istat just so I can get a calender popup when clicking the time/date in the menu bar; one of the few windows features I wish the mac had.

anyone know to organise the order of the shit on the menu bar?
and how do i get bowtie to stay on my desktop when i use expose? theres a fix for it but can someone explain it in engrish?

Also, anyone know where to cop cheap 8GB RAM for the iMac? Not really looking to spend over $100, I know... cheap.
But shit, I looked on the APPLE website & saw the 8GB RAM went for $1000+!

happens to my imac too... i thought it was the brightness at first but its just because the screen cools down. it happens to me whenever i sleep it for several hours

^ Don't get the 4GB through Apple.

You can buy the lower end 13" and buy 4GB RAM from Crucial for only $60. Install it yourself; pretty damn easy.

but the processor on the base model's only has one 2.66ghz and the second model has two of them.

Might be getting one in a few months. Honestly if you're not doing HD video work or heavy 3-D design work it's really way more power than most people need.
