Maybe some basic gaming on the side like TF2. some photo editing, and school work and shit. The weight factor doesn't really bother me though.


why would u even consider a MBA if weight isnt a factor? the lowest end 13" MBP's specs/cost ratio is so much better than a MBA. i mean unless u really like SSD....

If you watch a lot of media, then 15" is fine. 17" is just overkill tbh. I'd rather just max out my 15" to the specs of the 17", than to actually get the 17".

I know it's a 60 page thread, but can anyone give me a brief rundown on the real pros of a mac over a pc? After messing around with friends and the ones at work for the last few weeks I completely get the aesthetic appeal of macs, but I'm having trouble warranting dropping all the extra dough for a mbp over a cheaper laptop. What really makes them better?

honesty, it depends how your lifestyle is. although some pros of a mac compared to a pc are
it's build quality, customer support, virus free operating system, sleek designed, simple&clean user interface and it's brand name.
imo, saving a little extra dough for buying a mac is worth it.

Linux is awesome and I doubt many people will commit to using tablets instead of laptops that do task heavy work unless they dramatically improve them which raises another doubt.
