It works good, I've been using Word and Excel mainly. Some lagging in Excel with the ribbon and inserting cells, but overall an improvement.

did you upgrade or torrent it?

i rarely use excel and powerpoint but i use word and outlook often.

outlook >>>>>>> entourage. word 2011 is a step above word 2008 most definitely.

it was a good upgrade.

might be copping 15in mbp at the end of this year. I am a junior in hs, will be using this throughout hs/college. I dont really do any high tech shit, just browse internet, watch movies, dl music, that kinda stuff. Should i stick with the base 15in or upgrade it to the 7200rpm one? What are some thing that I should download/buy with the mbp?

i got a problem guys. had my macbook pro for a month and a half now. it was all working fine til yesterday. when i turn it on it stays on the white loading screen with the apple and the grey spinning loading thing. it stays like that for like fuckin forever. i left it alone to see what would happen and its still like that for 2 hours. tried doing the startupdisk but no luck, it wont let me repair disk or anything. so i just turned it off and waited til today, and it still just stays loading on the white screen.

No shit it runs out of battery quickly if you have the screen at full brightness, WiFi and BT on, keyboard lit up and are watching movies with a Flash streamer. I can still easily get 6+ hours out of my 6,2 Macbook Pro that was purchased on release day that has the exact same specs but has 2 SSDs in it. You can't have power and battery life. You need to make some sacrafices.

My 13" MBP has been laggy lately.

Info on how to revive this shit and make it as fast as it was originally?

Maybe I just have all my HD full (only have 3GB left).
