infamoushero is the definition of a true sony fanboy lol.

who cares who made what first. What matters is now and what is relevant. Right now Natal is beyond anything Eyetoy ever was. There is huge possibilities with this hardware.

Looks pretty dope....clearly an attempt at being a wii beater....more of a family console....but it'll never replace standard controller based consoles. Hardcore gamers are entirely too lazy to be active.

I don't care who made what first. People are just making it sound like Microsoft came from left field with this one with a fresh brand new idea. And that was hardly the case.

If i rap and i take a beat someone rapped on no matter how much better my version was it ultimately will always be just a remake.

no one is saying its a brand new idea. However it has advanced enough to deservedly warran the attention.

lol at "just a remake". You know the tech is more than that.

People were calling it innovative.

adjective: being or producing something like nothing done or experienced or created before

and it is not.

it is innovative... lol

edit: i'll say no more just in case.

Give me a UFC game designed around this and I'm ready to own some bitches. But seriously, it looks ok, the wii never caught my attention, but not using a remote is nice. I guess it all depends on how the developers take advantage of it's capabilities.

I doubt it's going to be too costly - Microsoft can't afford for this to be a flop because of a high pricetag. I'm gonna guess somewhere around $100, maybe bundled with a demo-style game (ala Wii Sports) when in launches.

the skate game looks pretty dope

although i'm kinda already underestimating the camera's ability to read body motions to a crisp.. i expect it to be like with the Wii where you probably have to jerk (not the dance lul) to get the right motion sometimes. i bet a lot of people will trip and hit a lot of shit when they play games like that fighting one smile

won't buy it but i definitely wanna try it

Project Natal Xbox 360

www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_txF7iETX0&feature=fvw
comes out 2010

Yes, it's real. Now you'll be able to change a tire... virtually. At E3 today, Microsoft finally took the wraps off the that rumored motion controller we'd been hearing about. Apparently the small, black device -- codenamed "Natal" -- will allow for an astoundingly wide range of actions by utilizing a group of sensors (the box itself sits beneath your TV), and the accessory will be capable of juggling multiple users during a single session. The demo Microsoft showed off included a skateboarding game (replete with a young man "air" ollie-ing), and a family playing a racing game (the dad was changing a tire, the daughter driving).

The add-on will offer features such as auto sign-in for players to Xbox Live (based on complex facial recognition), and sports extremely detailed body tracking which will be able to follow the individual movements of separate limbs. During the press event, the company demoed a painting app, which lets you use your entire body to handle virtual painting supplies, allowing you to do things like throw buckets of paint onto a canvas. Another title was shown off which featured a woman interacting with a young boy on the screen -- one of the company's creepier demos in recent memory. Unfortunately for us, Microsoft says the device won't be released during 2009. We're working on snagging some face time (literally!) with a demo unit, so stay tuned... E3 is off to a wild start!

People may not buy this for their xbox but customers without an xbox may buy one because of this. At least i think that's what microsoft are hoping.
