What's the big deal with visvim?

I have a wapanese cousin who is literally obsessed with them, he even buys them used, ick!
Insane quality, completely original looks, especially in footwear. Have you seen anything that looks like the FBT?
Moccasins perhaps?

I think this "INSANE QUALITY OMG!" is over hyped by kids that have never even owned a pair. The fbt is pretty original, but most of their virgil boots are overpriced and lower quality Red Wing imitations.

tbh i'd say its the other way around, fbt's (folk version in particular) are shitty quality while virgils have superior quality

How do the FBT JPs compare to Lhamo Folks sizing/quality wise? I sold my light brown pair of Lhamos a few years ago and have regretted it since. Think it's time for a replacement, and there's a good pair of FBT JPs in my size available at a decent price, they seem very similar. Thanks

Depends on the year + style + sole as many people have basically said in this thread.

Can't compare to Lhamos but I have FBT JPs from 2013 F/W and they fit pretty much TTS.

there aren't any fakes for the visvim bearfoot models, let alone that particular design. you can also see its superior quality. 200% legit.

Lowballers can stay out.

Those look fake as hell IMO, if you need reasons just look at the construction and oily leather

I'm sorry but I have to agree Visvim's have some nice styles every now and then but are totally overpriced and overrated for what your getting. There are so many Quality Moccasins you can purchase for half the price and better quality. It's a hype but to each their own.

I've been known to invoke......FEELINGS.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for all the stupid questions, but where do I find them for that price? Everything I see is around $600. Then add on shipping and probably a big customs charge, I'd be looking at $700+.

that's like retail price. try ebay or sufu's marketplace or here. but 350 will probably get you a used pair though.

Try looking at stylisticsspace or yahoo japan auctions. If you're lucky, you can get a lightly used pair for about $400 altogether.
