Haha WHAT!? the burgundy wtaps are garbage, 006 and all the other Vans from that time are excellent. Hard rubber, long lasting, and they skate the best from what I've skated, and I've skated pairs from all points in time in the S line. I'm not quite sure how you developed this impression or what you compare the 006's to.. Anyway, both the Blends and 006's are manufactured at the same factory. Of course any leather shoe is going to be superior to a suede shoe for obvious reasons, so it's all a matter of preference.

On a side note, trolls really hurt my feelings, etc.

well he was comparing blends and 006, which obviously they are not in the same level in every aspects. for me, blends is just out of the box, too bad i cant cop em, living down under suckballs. 005/006/018 doesn't really have distinctive upper materials, imo.

@resistlust
The shoes themselves are both produced at the same factory (HF I believe) so rubber-wise, they're not too far off. But I don't mean to say there's some magic to the 005/006 stuff, it is what it is. Construction-wise, the 005/006 stuff is particularly exceptional for skating. 018 is IFC made, and way too soft for me when it comes to actually using them regularly. All in all, the Blends are the smartest choice. If you can get them, then do. I have a pair on hold from a friend, I'm excited to finally buy them here soon. DS too smile

On a side note, trolls really hurt my feelings, etc.

Does anyone know where can I cop normal pairs of vans authentics that aren't 40 dollars that isn't ebay?
Try your luck at a local goodwill, my friend found some almost new suede maroon authentics for $5.

Yes.

Not sure why but I'm actually liking the blues. The brown/grey doesn't look too bad either.

It just doesn't seems as much of a classic as some of other Vans' model shoes. Nevertheless I have nothing against the shoe, just saying I thought Supreme would have worked on another shoe model you feel me?

Vault just released this suprised.

For those that don't know Vans early history. These shoes are basically retros/reissues from the late 80s/early 90s.
