is it just the NY store? what about the one in LA?

LA store got a new owner a few months back at the lot sale or so it was posted either on Selectisms blog or H (Y) R.

So i think one is closing one has changed ownership hands....so sad.

Visvim should make some more price-point gear. Sooo expensive. I guess that make it dope though.

They don't give a fuck....70-80% of their business is done in Europe and Asia.

Especially in JPN they understand and take in culture way differently then we do as americans. First and foremost they will take one aspect of fashion and spend their whole life on making that item the best it can be. In Japan when you take a job or start a business that decision is made for life. Most people never vary from that job or business unless forced to. Take into consideration how they have taken everything as americans have done and made it better IE cars, denim, electronics, etc.

Also in JPN and EUR they justify a products price by quality. We used to do that about say.......30-40 years ago. I had a convo with my friends school mate from Paris and he said this about EUR/JPN vs. America

America looks at products this way 1)design/Price 2)FUNCTION 3)FORM

EUR/JPN looks at it like this 1)FORM 2)FUNCTION 3)PRICE

So if you take that into effect that is why we as americans wait for sales versus buying the product for it's quality and design.

I personally still look at it like i would be from Europe...guess that's what happens when you get raised in an environment with an English father and Peruvian/Italian mother.

With the growth of the internet, the world around us has changed very quickly.

Communities and markets that share a similar concept of value are no longer bound by national borders or language.

What sort of platform would be ideal for the dissemination of information?

What kind of website would be inherently Visvim?

It has all finally come together.

July 1st at midnight in Japan will mark the start of visvim.tv.
