ops please help.
on July 25th, my little brother was assaulted. Exactly one month ago, he left this world.
You can read the official story here:
cbs5.com/local/fai....violence.2.1103823.html For those that want a more detailed story, this is what I posted in another thread: (Keep in mind I was not actually there, so if any details or specifics are off, it'll probably be because I got it wrong)
[Rolled to a party (invited by the birthday girl herself). All drunk slobs. My homies was all Vietnamese/Chinese.
Got to the party for literally less than 5 minutes. Walked in, scoped the scene, walked out to stoge. One of my boys was lighting a cigarette for someone and one of the slobs tried to walk through it (when there was space to walk around) and got mad cuz the lighter wouldn't light. He started talkin' and words were exchanged. My homies tried to calm it down cuz they just got there, so they started apologizing and tryin' to squash it. Luckily there are witnesses that have spoken to the police already that said they actually saw my brother saying "We don't wanna fight i'm just tryin' to have fun tonight" when he got cracked in the head with a bottle.
Apparently the fight was going in favor of my boys until they dipped out. Brother was in the back, and he got pulled away without anyone knowing. The homies ran back in to get him, but by then the damage was done.]
Now the problem is, it has been a month, and the police aren't doing anything.
We heard the police had taken 2 people into custody and we were satisfied with that for now. What we recently learned is that one of the people taken into custody was one of my homies (The driver that got the DUI in the news story who was released the next morning.) and the other was released because there isn't enough information.
Speaking from the side of the deceased, I can tell you that the police are NOT making an effort to get our side of the story. NONE of my boys have spoken to the police or anything. No questions about what happened. No pointing out faces. Nothing.
THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER.
I'm asking you for help because I know that police work a lot better when there is pressure put on them. I've seen the power of the internet (as seen in this thread:
niketalk.yuku.com/topic/200414) and I just want my homie to rest peacefully knowing that his passing did not happen unnoticed.
Please send this information out to any news stations or post it on your blogs or other forums or anything you can do. Every voice would make a world of difference.
Thank you for your time, your help, and your thoughts.
