i should say that since my post, i have bought 2 pairs of visvims (neither at retail price)
i can say that i absolutely love them, and they are worth every penny
whether i'd take the leap and spend full retail on them is still questionable
I suppose it depends on how much your willing to spend, and what your definition of expensive is. I think for the Japanese and European markets, the shoes are still expensive, but I think compared to what you would normally pay for a pair of sneakers, they dont seem that extortionate. For example, if I were to go to Size (Uk sneaker chain) and buy a pair of dunks, nothing special just general release dunks, it would cost me about $120-160, thats a lot more than what people in the states pay, but thats the norm over here.
