[Supreme NY] - 2007 Fall/Winter Discussion Thread

ahh ok, just read up on it and seems pretty cool...is there a deeper meaning to the picture on the shirt that represents what the documentary stands for?

Tennage Lust was supposedly a documentary of Clarks life through images of others, so any deeper meaning the photo really has would only be known to the man himself.

why does there have to be a meaning attached to everything?
January 02, 2008 @ 16:13:09
because there probably wondering why they chose that picture out of all of them
January 02, 2008 @ 16:43:54
this is the deal wit the asian dude, he is a reseller on ebay there are about three of em and they preorder whatever supreme lets them and the employees put it aside for them and they pay a little over retail about 10-15$ and thats why a lot of ppl who camp out for supreme clothes/kicks/hats releases don,t all get what they want its the first few who do. don't ask me how i know this. p.s. all the money they pay over retail goes to employees. lol

word lol, he drives a 2 door civic and on friday he just kept walking in and out of the store bags after bags being loaded to back seat and trunk, but he has a helper idk if its his son or something.

January 02, 2008 @ 20:33:02
For all of those asking where the larry clark picture comes from just look a page back

photo's from Teenage Lust (1983 photo documentary)
January 02, 2008 @ 23:18:33
i am a bit of a noob when it comes to this sort of thing but i visited supreme less than a week ago and found all of the stuff to be either incredibly expensive or having a theme that you see way to much on clothing. honestly i prefer old navy to supreme.

oh and they have shoes??? ive been twice and have not seen one pair of shoes.

>smh supreme tsk tsk

"The Marco Polo shopping style".

Eyes remain closed as you call your shopping list aloud....

"Vans!....(crickets).....Vans!?......(crickets)....Vans!?... :-(

heh nice you totally owned me smokeyface. high five brah!

look im sorry for having an opinion. i just feel that the shirts there are exactly the same as those you can buy for 20 bucks and that people always flip a sh*t about the shoes and yet they only are in stock for a day.
January 03, 2008 @ 00:15:43
I didn't know Stevie Wonder was a hypebeast.

anyone have photos from the supreme la line?

I noticed a ton of digicams out in the air when I came by around 11
January 03, 2008 @ 00:32:22
Brah....The shirts may compare to $20 shirts, but what is that really saying considering that most retail at $28? Plus...nobody else is flipping out about the shoes selling out in 2 days, because we are all fully capable of finding the "shoe section" and the 20+ styles that it has continuously IN stock. Next time you go, ask for the customer service rep to assist you. Tell him I sent you, and you'll be fine.
January 03, 2008 @ 00:38:44
^ I think he ment the actual lineup not "clothing line"
January 03, 2008 @ 00:53:06
ok let me begin by saying that i did not mean that people freaked out because the shoes are never there (which they aren't), but because of how cool the shoes are. the few pairs of supreme shoes that i have seen are at flightclub ny, which is actually a quality store. im saying that i always hear people saying that "the shoes are so cool" and that people go there because they want to see them. I have talked to people that have gone the DAY OF the release of the shoes and they're out. I know that once the new pairs there are sold out, it takes them some time to get more. The shoes that are presented there are unpopular. So obviously, the shoes are the main thrill of the store, and the fact that there isnt enough means that supreme is doing something wrong because i know that they arent making hundreds and selling all of them like they could be. I will say that the shoes i saw OUTSIDE of the store are pretty cool.

Also, I still stand by my old navy statement because old navy is cheaper and in actuality, you could find a supreme look-a-like shirt at a bob's outlet store. And if you did find a look-a-like, you'd save the 45 minutes explaining to people why the company is legit. I mean if you want some pseudo-artsy or pseudo-trendy bullsh*t smeared on a shirt, be my guest. Old Navy at least will spare me that.
January 03, 2008 @ 01:25:33
redrum save your philosophies about pleme for another forum b... Like pleme is pleme... niggas gonna dick ride it for long to come and the shoes def aint the main attraction b, kiddies go in there and cop anything with a fucking logo on it lol and take yo funky ass to the old navy forums
