After 3 successful seasons of Making the Band, Diddy has the 4th on the air right now. I just got word he is dropping the music title for next season and has a show named "Raping The Brand". We all have seen the rip that Sean John did to Ten Deep last fall. Little did we know while that was being surfaced we were getting ripped. There happens to be a big coincidence that Diddy's personal buyer shops at one of our prestigious accounts in Brooklyn. The shopper has picked up a few BSKY pieces to date. Funny how one of his new tees is very similar to one of our old tees....

Damn Diddy!

Ha ha I remember hearing that 10 Deep sent Diddy that shirt in a clothing package and he just stole the design right from them.

but on the other hand I've seen that design on some hood shop's shirts, and on a new era hat...so while it sucks it's one of those things that would be very hard to legally pursue...

theres no doubt that NOTHING! is new under the sun. Im not that upset nor am I surprised. I actually thought it was kind of funny. Im also anxious to see whos next.

True say that design maybe simple/done/lame it was one of those ideas that came about organically and worked.

nah not true. we've heard our share of comments about the Crooks/Versace, 10Deep/LV, The Hundreds/Starter etc etc....

Its just that the mainstream brands have more resources than any indie label. Im not going to front I use mainstream labels as a fuel for inspiration. Things they do that I wont do or things they wont do that I can. Not do exactly what I do. I wont do exactly what they do cuz then whats the sense of creating, just accept whats available on the market.

if anyone should be sueing its the car air freshner company since everyone is knocking off their artwork....

either way there is nothing to really sue on....nobody has a trademark....nobody has a copyright.....
