it's tight...whole new superior fashion section lol. but yo, i love RL. i'm tall (6'0")..well taller than the average person. their polos fit like a gem. and the colors are all chill... not pastel-ish or like... out there. and that's good.

so i take it all yall like the RL styles and fits and shit just as much as i do cool

hey i dont wanna spout knowledge that's incorrect or anything but didnt some random immigrant new yorker start polo to kind of buck the whole lifestyle of the rich and the famous? if so why is it that its considered so high end now? when the older stuff was actually worn by the more urband crowd than the fashion forward?

Ralph Lauren created the polo brand in order to give Americans , what he calss a more "London inspired dress" or the "gentlemens way of dressing" He actually started out with woven ties and moved on to clothing. It was always supposed to be sophisticated wear and the urban crowd kind of took hold on to it themselves. Purple Label in fact is as high as you can get in that spetrum.

thx for clearing that up! that older stuff seems mad gully (wow, i dont say that in real life but it rolled off the keys w/ out a second thought) like how its so playful but obviously well thought out what with all the references to the more affluent lifestyle.

a few items i own:

Cookie Boot (worn like 5 times in 6 years)

i got a lot of LO. i went to college in pittsburgh and people were rocking fubu/southpole/other wack brands i never heard of. i'd go to department stores and buy all the Lo i wanted on clearance. if it wasn't on clearance i'd wait and still get it. i built up a nice collection. most days i was wearing polo strictly.

i probably got:
20 polos
10 dress shirts
5 bear tees/the beach towel
2 jackets (just donated a seersucker to a homeless charity)
the boots (donated a pair of boat shoe-like boots)
2 rugbies (when the white collar gets dirty it's done)
1 turtleneck
1 wallet
2 pairs of pants
+random stuff like socks, belts, etc

i'm about to give away my streetwear and go back to rocking Lo fulltime. i love the quality. i have two polos i bought in 2000 that i wear all the time and they still look great.
