Not a fan of this new marketing strategy, it's very lazy. Deliberate "leaks" and "coincidental" tweets about a forthcoming shoe collab? They must have someone new and a lot younger on the team now.You think a few hundred people seeing slight leaks online is a marketing strategy? I don't think so.
An equal amount of people see these kids on the street.
You think there's only a few hundred people on all the mediums these leaks end up on? Twitter, FB, Istagram and all forums? Really? One group alone on FB got like 7k members. Thousands of people are seeing this shit, people who are subscribed to networks for that specific content. Far more than any kids that might recognize them walking by on the street. Don't underestimate the effectiveness of social media.
Even if it hit just a few hundred people, that doesn't change it being a marketing strategy, it would just be an unsuccessful one.
