Cheers man. Yeah, below the knees it was just way too tight for me. I actually wore the mediums around for a couple of days while I had them, hoping that they'd loosen up enough but to no avail. As for the larges, it honestly didn't make much of a difference on the calves. I'm going to keep them in hopes of stretching them out over time, but they are way too uncomfortable for me to wear out at the moment. I've come to peace with the fact that this pant type just wasn't meant for me. But if they end up fitting over time, that'd be great.
It looks like he is wearing larges, and that they are sitting a few inches below his waist than normal. They look ridiculous from the side.. Not really diggin' that whole look hahaYou went for the exchange but the large didn't fit eh? Was it in the area below the knee caps? Have you tried them out by walking around with them? Mine has loosen up a little and it's the Medium.
Side note: I traded my Medium Ralphs in for Large... Still doesn't even fit me right. I guess these pants just aren't made for my body type, which sucks because they are really cool.
Wonder if these guys plan on coming out with another type of pant sometime in the next year or two. I'd love something similar to the Zespy but with less of a drop-crotch. Not much of a fan of the Jonty look. Will be interesting to see if they come up with another type.
Anyway, whether they are harems or sized up zespys..the backside looks "pregnant".
Jonty's are great. If you don't fancy the increased drop along the rise, then it's worth giving the Jonty style a shot over the zespy. It's still tapered and pretty slim, but not calve hugging skinny.
I'll definitely take a look at the Jonty's. I'm a little intimidated by the sizings though... If the Zespys fit me perfectly in L, would I be safe with L Jonty's? I could see myself getting some of those army greens.. The army green Zespy too, damn they look good.
That's what I did when I found the ralphs too tight. After the 1st wash, it started to loosen. Like what an ILU sales rep told me, they loosen up and conform after awhile. Since you got a Large, it will be easier. Just curious, did you find the waist loose for the L? What waist size are you?
Zespy's and Jonty vary in size. Zes has spandex and a draw string around the waist like trackpants. Jon doesn't have much to negotiate because it's 100% cotton. You have to be sure about your waist size to make the decision.
I'm a waist 32, and found M jontys to be comfortable around the waist. This means I can sit without my feeling like my stomach is being constricted lol. There is another kind of pant called the smart pant, but i think it's not for you judging by the slim cut.
