No if you send as a gift you don't lose the 4% fees, that's why people add the 4% to get covered by paypal protection. Sending $150 as gift will get the other person $150. If you send $150 normally the other person will get $150 - 4% which is $144when u send money as a gift paypal takes 4% of it as fees, if you are trying to sell something for 150$ and they send u 15o$ u are going to get a little less because of paypals fees so them sending you 150$ + 4% as a gift in the end you would have 150$ in your paypal account.How would you guys explain the adding 4% for paypal? I'm having a hard time explaining it to someone.
