Right? I noticed this on most of their camps this season.
It's probably a wash for them. Metal eyelets you just press in, while the sewn eyelets require a lot more technical sewing.

B. If that is your opinion then it wouldn't be considered a wash my friend. Because if it was a wash then there would be no gain, nor no loss from the outcome, alas, a 'tie'. But none the less, there was still loss and gain from it, just still marked as a net gain of zero. Ya see?
