Link to the Times article. It's a pretty good read.

"A crowd of hundreds of street kids flashing a dandy streak in their camo and their leopard print". I got a good laugh out of that line. smile

in relation to the NY times article, I was talking about how they said that "he [Jebbia] is loathe to water down Supreme’s boundary-pushing urban sensibility to cross over to the suburban mainstream."

it used to be that only cool, artsy, in-the-know people would wear supreme, but now you see people like this wearing supreme:

Decent article but all brands reach this pinnacle and hopefully for guys that have been on this forum and others once it starts to fizzle true heads will continue to support the brand because they loved it not because its hot in the streets. I still rock bape because I loved the brand a certain pieces still speak to my fashion sense, I don't have a problem in what people wear because its your money(or parents money) but the pretentious way people wear it to give them this sense of cool, elite feeling and I think that's were the problem comes in for alot of clothing manufactures today. I mean diamond, the hundreds, black scale.. List goes on and on, even supreme doesn't feel the same like when I first picked my first piece which was hyped but it had a hot pornstar on it( one I was obsessed with at the time smh) but just that feel of I don't give a fuck, Grimey, nsfw feel of the brand, now these niggas dropping rose sweaters...the fuck... I just don't feel that excitement anymore for this brand like I did in 06-10..but we live in a world of consumerism and titles and look at me so I am not mad at jebbia for expand his brand, cashing in on hype, make ur bread because this shit won't last forever eventually another brand will become hyped and supreme will fade to black( old heads remember how bape had a similarly article that reached world news).... At the end of the day I will still rock supreme but the more subtle not as flashy stuff like a box logo hoodie because as u age u don't wont all that advo on u, people will flame comment and try stupid arguements but it will fall on my deaf ears....at the end if the day old heads keep buying things that inspire or you like eventually kids will gravitate to something else and this fall season was a purpose filled drop of 80s-90s aesthetic filled clothing so hopefully after jebbia reads the article back maybe just maybe he will go back to Grimey designs but as New York whole image has changed so has the brand for better or worst

tell me about it, but thats why almost every piece i picked up this year was shit that I wanted and nothing more. Most pieces sat for time because they were not a crazy hype item but i could give a shit. For example the indy collab with "fuck the rest" that is subtle.
