you guys are missing the point, its not that he shouldnt have sized up, he just should've sized up from a small to a medium, medium clothes on a 5'8" are gonna be too long and i highly doubt this kid has a 38" chest for medium, most sizing for chests are xs = 34 small = 36 medium = 38 and large = 40, for the northface if u look at the sizing on their site the size small =34.5 medium =36.5 and large = 38.5 etc so take that as you will
