Looks pretty heavy, will cut out the wind and it's waterproof, so yea.

Go to the news on the site, and flip to one of the pics showing that specific color jacket.

Right click, save image as. Read the text before the ".JPG"

It says Dark_Purple or something like that in it.

If you live anywhere that has actual winter weather and you mean wearing it alone over a tee or something, definitely not. It's called a shell for a reason. It should serve that purpose pretty damn well, though.

yeah, it is actually...for me at least. i need a serious winter jacket and this one would be dope to have, but my transportation like a real city guy is bicycle; rain, sleet, heat, or snow. i can't justify $308 on a shell thats going to be in the closet when the winter gets serious. TNF too...ironic. smh.

Okay fair enough, sorry.

I'm sure it will be fine in a light shower, and let's face it, who goes out during a torrential downpour. I wouldn't worry too much.

Edit. Okay, for you it may be a bit different, communting by bike, but generally I think it sounds reasonable.
