I know it's an old topic, but I've been off the boards for a while. I've heard from some people in the clothing industry that Ryan is shady, greedy, etc. But I've always had pretty good customer service from him.

I ordered some 5 panels from him the same day I started my Illinois to California drive. I emailed him and told him I would be moving and asked if I would be able to just pick up my hats. He was cool with it. We stayed emailing back and forth until I got to his apartment and picked up my stuff. Granted, he was locked away in his room and just had his roommate give it to me; but it was still nice enough to hold onto it for me. He's also sent personal hand written "thank yous" for always supporting his company. So I'll still buy his stuff. (Just not the button ups; sizing is way too big)

Extremely bummed on rip n dips new direction and that shit about Ryan just makes me dislike it even more. I got really into Rip n Dip watching the original weekendtages on youtube when their website looked shit and so did most of the things they made. Grant, bert, johan and everyone else were fucking hilarious and sold the brand image to me - sad those days are gone.

It's a bummer but the clothing is really what you make it to be. I am also upset about the way ryan has handled the business these days but I have to admit RIPNDIP has some pretty killer items. Except the new normal that was just recently posted, that shit looks terrible.

Hello everyone. This is me Ryan O'Connor. I'm going to clear up a few things on here that you might not know about. First the beef with me and Grant was over some personal stuff that had nothing to do with ripndip at all. We're best friends and sometimes you fight over dumb shit. Then you make up. So everything between me and him are all good.

As for that crazy nermal camp cap you got of blake off insta.. That was just some crazy sample that wasn't approved but for some reason Blake likes it so I let him have it. Here's a photo of a camp cap I did approve and will be in the winter collection dropping around the 15th of November.

Such a sick cap, looks like it will be a deeper fit too which I am excited about!
Nov 07, 2012 @ 00:29
Will that Tweed hat come in other colors besides brown?
It will also come in Black.

Love how crisp that logo looks.

Streetwear is dead

Nov 09, 2012 @ 04:41
@ryanoconnor are the camp caps going to be deeper fitting? Or the same as previous RIPNDIP 5-Panels?

HAHA I just found it on the site! That's pretty funny
Nov 13, 2012 @ 05:04
I made a pocket tee out of it over the summer. I thought it was kinda funny he was selling a $70 button down with fabric you can buy there.

It's dope though, don't get me wrong. I'm not hating. We're the suckers who buy it in the end.
Nov 13, 2012 @ 05:11
But seriously though RIPNDIP or ryan for that matter really needs to ease up on the prices for button downs. I am stoked for the next drop but if I can only end up buying 2 button downs INCLUDING shipping then I will be a little disappointed. Especially because I am looking to get a lot of things this drop and I don't want all my money going towards 1 or 2 items.
Nov 13, 2012 @ 18:28
When's the drop happening?

Really though, the material costs are very minimal compared to the manufacturing costs. Cutting and sewing a full on button up is way more costly in both time and money than just sewing a pocket on a tshirt.

Love the tie dye on the hoodie, but the print is some shit I'd wear when I was 15. Absolutely kills it...
