Cruiser would be the best thing for now. They are smooth like longboards but are short and manuverable like skateboards.

I picked up my cruiser deck at SupNY on saturday and my parts came in the mail today. I came out pretty dope and rides awesome.
thanks for the info. gonna cop a cruiser and use some spare Venture trucks and risers that i have in the back. i also really dig the clear-grip. cruisers can use skateboard hardware, right?
Yeah dude. That will work perfectly. And yea the hardware should be good, although you might need it to be a little longer to compensate for the riser.

That is so dope! I checked this board out but thought I would pass and get a zip zinger for the summer but this is making me think it might be worth my purchase. How is the overall feel of the board?
Thanks man. You should definitely take another look at it. I have a 40" longboard that has been my go-to for cruising around campus, but its been a pain in the ass to carry around so I dropped the cash on this and after riding it around today its awesome.
About the feel, its obviously a smaller deck, so there isn't that level of comfort that I get when on my longboard, however its still incredibly stable and the control is so precise, it gets going pretty damn quick, and when the trucks loosened up it rides just like any other short board I've rode.

I disagree 100% with you on this one. The brown suede brim makes the hat for me. It contrasts oh so beautifully. Plus I think a floral brim would be just too much floral.
