Nick was driving a 7 series back in 08 bro. He was getting his money before he started selling hundreds of thousands of shirts to Zumiez. Back when he said the entire line would never be available at Zumiez or Karmaloop because he wanted the smaller shops to have the exclusives/ be able to compete. Is that not the definition of selling out? Going against your brands philosophy to get that chedda? I'd say it is.

You're missing the whole concept here. Granted I'll be presumptuous and guess you're still in high school? Lets be honest here. Nick devoted his whole life to starting Diamond supply, we can all agree on that. He's not making that much money by only selling tees at the fairfax store and the other diamond stores across the country, don't forget online too. I know damn well that Nick wanted to make money, to be successful. It's that lifestyle. So why not put his clothes in Pac Sun, Zumiez, random skate shops? You talk about 12 year olds crowing the area? If I'm Nick and I see all those kids ther then I know in my heart, that I made it. I go to the mall and I see 20 other people wearing the smoking rings tee? Good for them, better for Nick. I feel like people in this thread try to be elitists and claim that they sold out. So what if they did? It's a moneys game. Bobby sold out too, but he goes to sleep at night knowing he's racking up millions a year making clothed? Nick saw what bobby did and many other streetwear companies and just hopped on the idea.

Personally, I think Diamond should stop making anything over Size Medium.

Because at least for me, I refuse to wear a brand that will have a bunch of assholes with a Size Large t-shirt running around my town.

We have been selling hardware at Zumiez since 2001 & apparel to them since 2005 or 2006. I did say in the past that Zumiez and Karmaloop will not get our whole line and they don't. Neither company gets any of our limited edition items or collabo's that we continue to make specific for our true fan base + when have you ever seen any Diamond cut n sew at Zumiez? We now make all of our limited edition pieces with Diamond blue tags to differentiate what can only be bought from our online store or on Faifax for those that don't want to be rocking the same tee as a kid that copped off Karmaloop or Zumiez etc. Not much has changed in our overall philosophy of the brand, but over time we definitely have become a lot more visible outside of the skate/boutique world. At the end of the day we still make products we like, we don't make silly items or graphics just because we know they will sell & will always stay true to our skate, sneaker and streetwear upbringing.

Next collab is with our long time Diamond Lifer homie Chico Brenes and his skate shop in Nicaragua called Central, drops saturday after next. New Spitta collab doesn't drop until 4-20-12 which includes sneakers, tees and hats...... we will however be droppin other collabs in the mean time.

Btw thanks to all that have been coppin the Diamond Footwear, it is amazing to see it taking off so fast. I honestly didn't know what to expect when launching the line but its success has surpassed anything we imagined. All of our footwear is also limited to what is pre-booked by accounts and we do not remake colorways after they are sold out.
