This store is awesome I recently got into it 2 years ago. I bought their denim and chambray shirts absolutely awesome for layering your look. Also bunch of shirts from them I usually size down from a L to a M and it still looks very nice.

jcrew has nice things thats for sure, but sometimes theyre overpriced. i copped the jcrew x sperry collabs and i love them. i just wish they would change how their store looks. something about the layout or the design or iono. just bugs me.

They don't usually have promo codes with a new line, I would imagine that in a few months, they'll put something out so they can move stuff that isn't selling well.

HOWEVER, if you or someone you know is a college student, you can place the order, then contact them with a scan of a school ID, and they'll refund you 15% of your order. All the time.

Aside from their ridiculous overbranding and fake distressing on some items, Rugby Ralph Lauren is quite close in terms of fit/aesthetic/pricepoint/quality. Their chinos are far better (fitting and quality) than anything I've owned by J. Crew and their oxfords are pretty much the only things that fit me off-the-rack under $100. They also offer the 15% student discount if that applies to you.

Just went on a spree here at their factory store. Spent $300 and saved close to $250. God I love J Crew.

I hit the Polo and J Crew factory stores today too, always worth a look if its close by. Both usually have pretty solid deals compared to the regular retail stores, they just don't always have as good of a selection.

Fun fact: Most of the J. Crew outlets' stock is made SPECIFICALLY for the outlets, shit's incredibly low quality and you NEVER see that shit in the real stores. If it has a green tag as opposed to the normal blue tag, it was made for the outlets.

Polo is like half and half. I mean, you'll never see a Polo bear shirt in a real Polo store. I don't think there's a different tag though.

But for the person asking about a similar store, try Rugby Ralph Lauren. Similar fits/quality/pricepoint. Rugby does a lot of overbranding (as opposed to J. Crew which surprisingly does none) so you'll have to sift through some shit, but I promise you the oxfords and chinos are on point. Rugby oxfords are the only oxfords under $80 that fit me off-the-rack and their chinos fit so good, right between a Levi's 511 and 514. They also do the 15% off for college students if that applies to you.

Lol, thats hilarious. Ballsy with Harvard. I would have gone with a little Ivy. Maybe throw a little Stanford in their system. Although its J. Crew, they probably wouldn't be surprised. All they get are Harvards and Stanfords.

anyone know the model # or name of the pair of khakis that J.Crew had ? They were cream in color (not grey/matte tint like all the khakis this season but literally a cream/vanilla color) ?

I'd say yes, but I'm not positive about their collaborations. I'd email them before doing anything.
