Hey So I just got The Hospister m-65 jacket from the loop...I'm a little new to M-65s so what is the zipper around the collar for? As well the inside drawstrings? Also....in an effort to get some new style ideas...what kinda gear are yall pairing up with jackets like these?
Just kinda want to put some versatility into my closet.
Inside drawstrings are there to give you the ability to adjust the jacket for a more tailored fit.
As for what I personally pair with the jacket..... We'll since Triumvir puts clothes on my back and all I really have in my closet is Triumvir....hahah
With an M65 I generally like to layer it with some sort of collared/button-up shirt underneath. I wear it as if it were some sort of sport coat/blazer. Meaning I usually button/zip up the jacket to the midway point to expose my collared/button-up shirt underneath. Since the jacket is black I usually don't go for a very contrasted look, personally I think with black outerwear pieces contrasted shirts/pants put too much attention to the outerwear piece. So with all this being said a typical outfit for me, that consist of the m65 is as follows:
Outerwear: m65 Jacket
Shirt: one of the Maltese button-ups : Grey or Gingham
Jeans:Castor Selvedge Black jeans
Shoes: Some sort of black & white hi-top shoe with a converse/vans silhouette
