^ No problem.. Yeah i dont think this is the actually JC x TH collab that they have been talking about.. I think bobby and ben had the hardcore collab idea and johnny probably wanted to take part in it since he was in a hardcore band and is part of the scene! So i think there will be a different collab with the two as well

Hey thanks for the info. LOL I almost did buy it but had to refrain mainly because I knew I would never hear the end of it from my SXE friends. Besides I'm sure there will be another colab by these two in the future.

does it matter if you are not straight edge? if someone is, i can see how it makes the shirt better. and I probably wouldnt get hammered in it either tho.
good to see both brands coming together, and i dont know when the next collab shirt will be, possibly next year

Today The Hundreds Tribute to Hardcore shirt series dropped at both of their SF and LA stores. They were nice enough to send me a box of the one that I designed. I want to give them away to the people that really wanted them but were unable to get to The Hundreds stores.

Feel free to use google or any other way to get the answers. This shirt and quiz are meant to be an introduction to something that I am passionate about. Hopefully you will find the music genre as exciting as I do. If not - no bid deal. It still was a fun project to be a part of.

The first 20 people email me the most questions correctly will receive a free shirt. Don’t forget to include your shirt size & address with your answers!

I'm sure it doesn't matter to some people but it does to me. I think it's because I don't want to act like I'm posing. Besides, what if i'm just taking a shirt away from someone who would actually appreciate it more than I would. You said yourself that being SXE would make the shirt that much better. I mean it's a great project between two great brands but I can't buy a shirt just because of the fact that it has TH and JC on it. Also, I guess i'm just opptomistic about the fact that there will be another collab in the future, so I can wait.

I'd expect nobody to that lines up and wants these shirts, to actually get these questions right. Only weird HC dudes that wear graphic tee's like crazy.. I also expect none of the kids who frequently buy these brands to ever care. here today gone tomorrow.. Interesting concept, kinda lame attempt to get kids "Stoked" on hardcore... because in reality none of them really care. sorry if this comes off hateful, I have nothing but love for hardcore..
--

also posting to say that why use the chain of strength logo, and not just the mock of it... almost as lame as kids going buying band shirts just for designs, and not the music. besides, none of those kids know nothing about straight edge. but I guess "who cares"

I just wanna know where you can come off acting like you know everything about what people on the forum wear/listen too?

Just cause you have X's in your name doesn't mean you have "love for hardcore". Its goes far beyond that.

Straight edge and hardcore are something I've been very close to for the past 7 years of my life and they were a huge part of me growing up before any clothing brand was. You coming here to post that nobody that buys this has any clue about anything that has to do with the music or straight edge or anything is absolutely ridiculous.

I'd be willing to guarantee that 100% of the people that know about straight edge and hardcore on this forum or that even buy these tees were connected with it well before they were with any clothing brand. I sure as hell know that when I was 15 years old I was stoked as fuck when I had enough to get into a show and let alone an extra $10 to buy a lp or tee or whatever. I couldn't even think of spending $34 for a shirt or $100 on some shoes back then. Those $8 or $10 shows will mean more to me than any shirt or shoes will. Now that I have a steady job and extra money and there is a collab with 2 things I really support strongly, of course I'm going to buy it and not because it's a shirt or the cool the to do but because of the meanings and memories behind the logos on the tees. If you don't feel the same way about the series then don't worry about it, don't buy it, and don't come here and knock it.

Well of course there are people buying these tees just cause it has TH logo or any of the other brands that did this collab and I'm pretty sure there are people that think Chain of Strength is some clothing brand they never heard of before but the way the other dude came off saying that just cause i'm buying these tees i don't care about hardcore is ridiculous.

Preach on my man! Couldnt have said it better BUT i wouldnt buy these t's, only because i dont like the idea of the collab. Thats just my personal preference and opinion. But what u are saying i can agree with 100%.. I still think the shirts should have been 10 dollars just for the fact it was a tribute! But i bet there were a ton of kids who actually bought these t's because they are a limited release by TH... Its a shame but thats what happens when your brand is all about hype

I have an understanding why kids buy the things they buy, especially those who are fans of these brands. and when I say that the kids don't give a fuck what the design means, it's because it's true. as long as it has the logo or name in some sly mock... it will be bought. Thats how most of the hundreds fan base works. Most of the people who bought the famous diamond misfits logo didnt give a shit about misfits, same with bad brains supreme, same with SSD supreme, same with youth crew supreme, same with h2o hundreds, same with sick of it all mishka, and etc... Thats not saying that HC kids WON'T be into it. Because present day hardcore kids are into a lot of corny streetwear lately.

it's cool that YOU have (or had) some connection with hardcore. I get why YOU would buy it, I am speaking in GENERAL. Not gonna knock why you like the brands either. Thanks for the cool hc story, bro. I know what hardcore is, because I live for it.

and me being involved in hardcore and "streetwear", I always find it interesting when brands have their own take on these things.

I think it's cool that they actually got hardcore people involved in this, and I respect bobby for doing it, seeing as he was a part of it.. Even though I think the brand doesn't suit me its dope having Having Civ and Jordan from Rev involved.. I still think the execution is kinda trash.

its just my opinion, bro.
