I like FLCL even though the show total runtime was like 2 1/2 hours. Fullmetal Alchemist was good. They're also doing a reboot series that is closer to the manga.

Full Metal Alchemist looks interesting but it seems long as fuck...

Nothing compares to Death Note anyways when it comes to story.


Samurai X and Cowboy Bebop comes to mind. Different styles, but all of them are at the top of the list. You probably have seen em already though. FMA isnt that long, its the standard 51 and well worth it. There is a second season, which just follows the manga much more closely

edit: Also, i should mention Rurouni Kenshin as well, but only the Kyoto Arc is exceptional, though the other two are worth watching too.

Samurai Shampoo and cowboy bebop HAVE to be watched in English, you wont get the same experience watching subs. But for the rest, I watch in Japanese. Steven Jay Blum is an epic actor though.

i agree with Cowboy Bebop, but the japanese on Champloo was LEGIT. Especially Mugen's.

3 dragons are gonna duke it out in the end. the red one was the bad guy (strongest dragon) and then the blue and yellow combined. yellow was thunder. Destiny shit, their lives r based on past events. If if the past this character killed this character, then in the present, that character is gonna kill that character. can't escape destiny, blah blah blah.

I dig it, but Im glad i watched it in english first because.....there is a lot of little things you can miss just reading subtitles.
