I've always been a big fan of Mickey Rourke's films. He is very underappreciated and overlooked. He's one of the best actors of these past generations, imo.
Supposedly, they call this movie his 'comeback' film, although I think Sin City already has that title. Still, I hear overwhelmingly positive reviews from this movie. If Mickey goes out of his way to clean himself up, his image, and his career, I think we could have a serious return.
Oh, and it's directed by Darren Aronofsky, who was offered to direct Batman Begins but refused. Still, one of the best directors of our time. Plus, the composer for Requiem for a Dream is composing this movie's score.
Let's hope at least one of these guys gets an Oscar nod. They truly deserve it.
