Just came back from this...VERY entertained. A HELLUVA lot better than the second (although that's not saying much) and dare I say it, the racing is better than the first. The plot is minimal, but that's not why you see these movies anyways. Highly recommended. Very little to no CGI, all great looking car stunts...minimal use of Nitrous fetishing, but like the title says...it's all about drifting. This movie is going to really bring drift racing to the mainstream and get a lot of people talking. Definitely at least people who are used to American drag car racing where it's all about speed....here, they show a lot of interior shots of the drivers driving to show it's all about TECHNIQUE. Which I think is what this movie brings that the others didn't.

If you've ever seen the Initial D racing movies from Asia, (which rely on drifting a lot), you'll like this movie, which does even better. The ending race on the mountaintop is great, and there are some gorgeous shots of Tokyo with cars slipping and sliding along.

What makes this movie unique is it brings something new to the series. New characters, new exotic location showing Tokyo citylife and culture, new cars, new babes, and most importantly, a new style of racing.

The bad things? Bow Wow's character wasn't really needed, or at least was poorly written. Some of the dialogue wasn't that great. The main character's southern accent was annoying as hell, and the oversimplifcation of everything (including the plot). But if you want cool driving, it delivered.

Worth seeing in the theaters, although I had a free ticket from the DVD.

Call me the NEW drift king, bitches!

the movie was alot better than i expected it to be. nothing that's going to win an award but it was extremely entertaining. i'd say this movie was the best out of the three. plot was wack but that's expected from a fast and the furious movie. acting wasn't bad at all (bow wow played his role well). the racing was intense and kept you interested. the movie seemed alot less "ricer" somehow. the cars were awesome and weren't over the top like before (excluding bow wow's ride hahaha). the soundtrack was pretty good too (excluding the super bubblegum jpop but some people may like that shit). go see the movie for the racing, the cars, and the girls.

There's nothing wrong with a little J-Pop. You'll get used to it when you visit Japan, shit is quite funny when you're drunk, considering there's beer vending machines all over Japan, you'll be crunked 24/7 along with the business men there.

dont they have "used" women's panties in vending machines as well? razz
im hopefully gonna visit my friends up there around xmas time, since i'll already be with my fam in the philippines

Ever since Pooty.. I always watch my back for gorillas..

My fam and I were the only asians in line to watch Nacho Libre (we were first in line). Across the theatre lobby was the line of asians waiting to see F&F3 staring at us.. they probably thought we got in the wrong line by accident.

Bow wow
I think uve been abit unfair by the fact tht u have said Bow wow's character was not needed i reckon he played an important character i mean the story had to have him init or sean wouldnt off even been introduced to the tokyo night life (drifting) He plays the best friend of sean which is a respctful part of the plot! smile
