i like dexter and lumen together, but will she really continue to kill after her revenge is done? i dunno that she has that yearning the way dexter does. dead or gone by the finale, bet my soul on it.

that's been the trend with everyone else. His dad killed himself, Doakes got killed, that one cuban lawyer or whatever got killed. Seems everyone who finds out about him dies. It'd be too much of a liability for Dex to have someone knowing his secret on the show and it would make it less realistic it seems.

I dunno... I still hate it. I feel like it's just taking bits and pieces from other seasons/storylines and mashing them together. Lumen = Lila + Miguel Prado. Deb figuring out it's a "vigilante" killer, yet the Bay Harbor Butcher doesn't come to mind? Jordan Chase is almost exactly like the Trinity Killer, in character/personality, not actions.

I think the only thing that would make me watch the next season would be if Quinn's informant shows Quinn all the stuff Dexter has done and Quinn is cool with it, thus being the only one in on Dexter's secret.

I agree with dalek somewhat. The show does kind of have a theme they recycle but I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing. The show is still entertaining. I think some people can't help but over analyze the fuck out of shows and ruin it for themselves. Maybe because the show is really simple and they're too smart or maybe because they want to seem smart and have to shit on everything. I know the show has a pattern but I still get surprised every now and then, I love Dexter's character, it's filmed in my city, so I'm rolling with it. Chillax.

i read this negative review of dexter, similar to dalek's points, that the show is like any old CSI procedural, only instead of each episode having that formula, it's the whole season. i think i'm okay with that; it's worth it for the payoff we get in these last few episodes. also, for what it's worth, i think this season has brought something new to the table. lila was a psycho and never connected with dexter on more than a sexual level. brian was a glimpse of what dexter couldn't become, miguel was manipulating dexter the whole time, and john lithgow was just a family guy.

lumen is the only one who, so far, isn't fucked up insofar as she isn't out to get dexter. she sees him, understands him, and is with him where no one else could be. even rita was just a beard he grew fond of.

i can't see deb being okay with dexter's extracurricular activity. and yes, that time when doakes and lundy were onto dexter was the most exciting time of the show, and i don't like how no one ever refers to it, or how lumen hasn't picked up on the bay harbour butcher connection.

i can't see deb being okay with dexter's extracurricular activity. and yes, that time when doakes and lundy were onto dexter was the most exciting time of the show, and i don't like how no one ever refers to it, or how lumen hasn't picked up on the bay harbour butcher connection.

she was probably busy getting raped and tortured during that time. They don't really establish a time line so that could have been only a month ago.

No... the first season of TWD will not compare to the first seasons of Dexter, Lost, Breaking Bad, etc.

But, right now, I've lost all interest in Dexter. I'll finish this season out, but that'll be it. I'll eventually watch whatever I miss, I'm sure, but I'm definitely not setting my alarms for the September premier of season 6.

Holy fuck the finale looks like its going to be amazing, after watching the preview it looks like its going to come down to the wire. Dexter has a lot of shit he has to deal with all at once, he will slip up somewhere.
