Ever seen a film, and then after the movie you sit there faced scrunched up with half a head ache...and then u think "wtf just happened?!?"

Its happened to me on a couple occasions but i cant think of the exact ones now. But i will. But this thread is for people to share films taht made them do this and to maybe get an explaination or interpretation from someone who maybe did understand.

usually it's not the movie, but myself that is at fault. When I saw smoking aces (mad characters) I was far too high to follow the plot and all the assassins and what not (didn't help that it was a bootleg dvd with shit audio and video). The Matrix I got when i first saw it but it's like the Usual Suspects in that you get it more and more each time you see it b/c you catch different things with each viewing.

Word up, I though Matrix 2 & 3 was a cluster fuck. They tried to get overly philosophical and forgot at the end of the day what they where doing was an action movie with a bit of philosphy on it and not a Philosphy movie with a bit of action in it. The second Matrix with all that doeuble talk...and when they where in the subway talking to god knows who. I was confused as hell...and frustradted given that I like the first movie so much.

You should check out Open Your Eyes, Vanilla Sky was the remake of it. Penelope Cruz is in that one too.

i understood it but the light in the movie had me scratching my head the most out of everything but the movie seemed like a waste of my time it just seemed wierd its hard to make a good movie about the future i understood it and thought it had a good plot but the only thing that kept me from going back to the video store and demanding a refund was wanting to know how the movie ends

^^Damn, really? That's actually one of my favorite Spielburg movies. Anyways, The Shining is my favorite horror movie and I've seen it a bunch of times but I just never understood what was the point of the dude dressed up as a dog giving the dude in the suit head.

^ I think it was just a disturbing image or hullucination that was seen by the protaginist in the film from the parties that was supposed to be happening in that house but was all in Jacks head.

MULHOLLAN DRIVE by DAVID LYNCH is the only movie i could actually say "fucked my head up"..you know its gonna fuck you up before you watch it cause theres 10 clues to help you solve it.. honestly only students at M.I.T. could get this movie on the first try...i recommend this movie to anyone that wants a challenge..

*and dont cheat by looking up blogs and explanations for the film...

1. Pay attention in the beginning: 2 clues are revealed before the credits.
2. Notice appearances of the red lampshade.
3. Can you hear the title of the film that Adam is auditioning actresses for?
4. An accident is a terrible event... notice the location of the accident.
5. Who gives a key, and why?
6. Notice the robe, the ashtray, the coffee cup.
7. What is felt, realized and gathered at the club Silencio?
8. Did talent alone help Camilla?
9. Notice the occurrences surrounding the man behind Winkie's.
10. Where is Aunt Ruth?

Yea, that's what I always thought but I never understood why that image, must be just a Kubrick thing.

Eyes Wide Shut

seriously, what the fuck is with this movie?!
July 24, 2007 @ 08:33 AM

To Me EYes Wide Shut was just a long episode of "Red Shoe Diaries".

I see what Kulbrick was trying to do with the film. I think it may have been a commentary about modern attitudes toward sex and its relation to marriage. But it has been theorized that most of the sexual scenes where dreams as can be seen my the weird lighting and stylistic things that where done in the film. SOme say Kulbrick didnt even finish or wasnt happy with the film but died before he could fix it.
