I'm really pleased with Shippuuden so far; great animation and they are sticking to the manga. Anyway someone said earlier about Jiraiya being the strongest of all the Sannin and I have to agree; I thought it ironic because I was just having this conversation with a guy at my school a few weeks back.
Seriously though what's up with some spoiler alerts; I read the manga so I don't mind, but if you don't read the manga avoid reading the earlier comments.

Naruto isnt given all this power out of nowhere,hes always been a beast,remember his fight with sasuke with his one tail out? and you need to remember shippuuden takes place 3 years after the original episodes,he was training with Jiraiya who is possibly the strongest person to enter the Naruto series. i think his "sudden" burst of power is justified lol

You need to remember,Naruto has massive brute strength because of his Kyuubi,but technique and skill wise he's not great. Someone like Kakashi or Itachi would make easy work of him.

agreed. only people that can fuck with Naruto in Kyuubi mode are Kakashi,Jiraiya,Akatsuki,Sasuke,and Orochimaru.
