I could never relate, let alone be friends with someone that thought The Big Lebowski was 'eh'.

cmon, it's kinda put on a pedestal. it's not that BAD, as such, just not what i expected. maybe i expected too much after fargo.

+The Dissapreance of Alice was great British movie. I love crime/thriller genre especially with the twist at the ending.

+The Prestige
+Black Swan
+True Grit, it was all right.
+Tron 2, it was okay.

Watched 127 Hours last night. I feel like he didn't make me believe his arm was really stuck until he started to cut at it. Still a good movie, just thought that they could have executed it better.

Whaaaaaaaat? Were we watching the same movie?
Jan 09, 2011 @ 20:53
i don't know. It just didn't look like he was in too much pain until he started going at it. I feel as if he just forgot his arm was crushed under a ton lb rock
/baked but i just feel they could have made it more intense

Really? Well... I'm not so sure how much "pain" you'd really be in. After about an hour or so, I'm sure from where it was pinned down to his fingers was completely numb. Also, right at the start, he was slamming his entire body into the rock, trying to dislodge it.

All in all, I think it was a pretty realistic depiction of what would happen to a person in that situation. And Aron Ralston agreed that it was portrayed pretty much exactly as it happened.
