Ishii's style is pretty off-the-wall and somewhat confusing, but the films are quite entertaining. If you liked it in anyway, check out some of his other movies.

Did it really? I haven't seen Inception, but I had heard they weren't all that similar outside of the fact the people were entering dreams. Satoshi Kon's passing this summer was really unfortunate. I hope The Dream Machine does come out, because I'd love 'just one more' Satoshi Kon film.
