The scene from The Invention of Lying when he tries to comfort his dying mother in hospital that there's an amazing place after the death.

The scene from Shame when Michael Bassfender or w/e getting teary eyes when he was listening to his sister Marie singing "New York New York"

* Definitely not recent, but certainly some of the last time turned me into a tear jerker.

Pursuit of Happiness is probably the most depressing movie of all time. I also hate the fact that they don't show his success in the end. I want to see them in a big house living the high life but no. The movie just ends

Honestly, when ever I see an A-Class actor work their magic and sell emotion to the viewers by like, talking and crying at the same time... if it looks real I start to feel for them. I hate seeing people that upset. My eyes tear up, but I don't let them fall... I guess one day my pride will be the death of me.

Lol, plus it's just a movie.

But that's why they get paid like $20 Million each movie because they do sell themselves that well. Someone once told me they believed that Movies were called Movies because they "Move you". Which isn't true but its a interesting look on it. Because they actually do just that... damn well in some cases too.

But for the purpose of this thread I'm going to say the last time I remember was Will Smith in like every movie he cries in. The Pursuit of Happiness when he was sleeping with his son in the bathroom and that guy tried to get in. I Am Legend when the Manichean wouldn't talk to him... LMAO! It's kinda funny when you think about it but I can only imagine being THAT lonely that you cry because an inanimate object can't seem to muster up the strength to acknowledge your presence.

Changing the Past.

the ending of Control, where ian wakes up the next morning from his seizure, walks into his kitchen, hangs himself, and then his wife comes home and you only see the outside of the house but after she walks in you hear her scream.
