It's actually pretty good. I read part of the book and that was definitely something you can't stop reading. I think it's worth the watch, maybe when it gets out on DVD though. You'll want to watch it more than once.

I checked it out on noobroom and I did like it.  when it starts i was a little confused following what was happening but then it started making sense.  It's worth the watch for sure

it just made no sense throughout. i need to watch it again but i think its that their ancestors are making similar decisions throughout the different timelines?

its about how your actions in this lifetime will effect your next life.  And the movie is played in a kind of confusing order but once you're able to follow it and make sense of it, it's a lot more interesting and better overall

definitely not for everyone tho

i just saw it (only came out here last week) and it's crazy good. it reminded me a lot of magnolia but w more ambition and obv sci-fi. i can't believe this is an independent film (i heard the most expensive one of all-time). i never thought halle berry was that good an actress but i was glued to it even when i didn't know wtf was happening.

i def need to see it again, but yeah, i couldn't stomach the book. the dialogue in the "after the fall" parts alone is sometimes just indecipherable.

i was reading people's thoughts on the film and one person brought up that it's maybe an optimistic look at atheism, that even if an afterlife doesn't come, our choices are eternal. made me feel better about maybe being an atheist.

Having read the book, the film had a much greater effect on me than it would for someone unfamiliar with the stories of Cloud Atlas.
