His '08-'12 movie roles have been pretty impressive, except for GI Joe.

Brick is a fucking work of art. Loved that one. He's a great actor imo. Hesher, The Lookout, I dug Premium Rush too.

Good track record in indie films. He mentioned no one wanted to give "that kid from 3rd Rock" a chance.

The way I see it, he went the right way. Indie --> Mainstream + still doing films with indie directors

I admire JGL. I've seen him interviewed on AOTS and Conan, and this guy is so humble and down to earth its fascinating. He portrays himself as just a regular guy, nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah child sitcom actors get pigeon holed like a mug. He was smart to go the indie route to prove he can act. I've been a fan since Brick but I didn't expect him to blow up like this. IDK how it happened, but right now he's on fire.
