Remember seeing some images pop up a LONG time ago for this. Like DDL would go into the town they are filming in for lunch and stay in costume and people would get so confused.

Daniel Day Lewis doesn't stay in costume. he stays in character.

Supposedly he won't even break character when he's not on set. For as long as they are filming, he will be the person he is playing. I first heard that after Gangs of New York came out.

I'm willing to bet that less than 15 minutes into the movie, we will completely forget that we're watching DDL and start to think it is actually Abraham Lincoln. The guy is on another level.
