I'm sure he did. He got fat for Dragon Tattoo and I remember reading he had to do one of those hell and back workout regiments to get back in shape for this film.

Bardem is a great villain IMO considering how great he was as the bad guy in No Country.

Can't get much better after Casino Royale, can't get much worse after Quantum Solace. That being said, this movie has all the potential in the world.

Looking dope but i really still don't like that they call these movies part of the james bond series. I mean ever since Craig got the role the whole theme and feel of the movies changed so much, it's just not the same, which isn't necessarily bad tho

Quantum of Solace wasn't the best, but quite looking forward to this film as there is more acting and emotion rather than action all the way through.

If I'm reading these reviews right, it turns out Bardem's character is not what I expected.

lol pierce brosnan... goldeneye was great, but the rest were just... the guy turned bond into a cartoon character.

so i saw skyfall on friday cos ldn and i think it's easily the best daniel craig bond, it stands up to the sean connery ones. ignoring quantum of solace's existence, it feels like what casino royale should have been. i think people praise casino royale because daniel craig plays such a down to earth bond, but i defy you to explain what the casino plot is, the poker scenes are long af w like artificial tension.

skyfall is like the batman begins of bond. it modernises him, giving him some background but at the same time there are so many nods to classic bond shit like moneypenny, q, more background on m, and it's actually funny. daniel craig is constantly doing dumbass one-liners after he kills people and it's hilarious lol. and the villain is unique in how he's twisted and very easy to understand as far as motivation and why he's got bond on the ropes.

also, it's shot really well, the aston martin looks cool af and in general everything just looks good and not bourne-like at all.

everyone should see it. people that never really *got* bond (like people that weren't comic fans w batman) will like it as well.

Interesting article that I read recently. Dude says that Daniel Craig is a overly-muscled thug who imposes his physical will to solve cases, rather than finding ways around it using ingenuity and instinct, as Bond is ensconced to doing throughout the series. He says Bond's true form is thin, lanky, a classy dandy who charms the answers out of chaos. I say screw him. Quantum was lame but Casino Royale was hella dope. I'm excited for this new one to come out
